12 Mile Ruck March

This Memorial Day, two men will start the first ever  12 mile Ruck March.

When I came across this post I felt every feeling you could ever feel all at once.

I saw the post on Facebook, and had to 100% find out more.

“The ruck march will begin at 3:30 pm at the veterans memorial next to Freemont Motor in Powell.

We will be going west on HWY 14A (Wyoming Veterans Memorial Highway).

Our turnaround point will be the silos just west of Ralston and we will end back at the Veterans Memorial, where we started.

Ryan and I are going to be carrying 45 lbs dry weight in our packs.

We welcome everyone who wants to to join us, a pack is not required. Please bring appropriate hydration and equipment if you would like to participate. Safety is a big concern of ours as we are on a highway, no alcohol consumption. Remember this day is not for us, we are honoring those who have served our country and are no longer with us.”

“12 miles of discomfort is the least we can endure

to honor those who have served our country,

and are no longer with us.” – Sean Alquist
