The Worland High school Indoor Track Team will be in Gilette Friday and Saturday for the Wyoming State Indoor Track Meet.
For the First time, Wyoming will break the State Meet into 2 classes, 4A and 3A.
4A will be Campbell County, Cheyenne Central, Cheyenne East, Cheyenne South, Kelly Walsh, Laramie, Natrona County, Rock Springs, Sheridan, and Thunder Basin.
3A is Big Horn, Buffalo, Burns/Pine Bluffs, Cody, Douglas, Elite Solutions Academy, Evanston, Glenrock, Green River, Lander, Lovell, Mountain View, Pinedale, Powell, Rawlins, Riverton, Star Valley, Tongue River, Torrington, Western Heritage Lutheran Academy, and Worland.
Worland takes a strong group of girl sprinters which include Juniors Erika Manahan, and Mady Lloyd, Freshman Kalistynn Crippen, and Cherise Douzenis.
Diverse runners Seniors Isaira Matamoros, Sarai Matamoros, Junior Nyssa Leyva, and Sophomore Zena Tapia.
Pole Vaulter Junior Rihan Rosario, along with Shot Put Freshman Samantha Pierce.
Douzenis and Crippen are also tops in the High Jump, with Manahan and Douzenis 5 in the Long Jump.
For the boys, the strength of the team is in long distance with Senior Harley Redding, Sophomore Trajn Swalstad, Sophmore Kiyoshi Smith, Ira Croft, Ivan Thomas, and Will Bishop.
