Twin Brothers Positive with COVID-19 At Time of Death

More details have been released on the twin brothers found dead in their Sheridan Avenue home last weekend.

The names of the deceased men are Kurt Riiser Knight and Michael Maston Knight, born on Oct. 20, 1959. They were 61 years old.

On Saturday, Dec. 26, the Cody Police Department conducted a welfare check to their home in the 2300 block of Sheridan Avenue at the request of a caller. That caller said one of the brothers hadn’t shown up for work and wasn’t answering repeated phone calls.

When the officers entered the home, they discovered Kurt and Michael dead inside.

The investigation into their deaths is ongoing. Both men appeared to live a solitary lifestyle, presumably based on the condition of their home.

The cause of death has yet to be determined. Portable Air Quality Monitors showed there was nothing wrong with the air in the home, as they detected no traces of carbon monoxide or other combustible gases, and a preliminary investigation showed no signs of foul play or any other suspicious activity.

COVID-19 is another possible cause of death. One of the brothers tested positive for the virus before Dec. 26, and it has since been confirmed that both men had the virus at the time of their death.

The Cody Police Department is not confirming that either man died of COVID-19.
