SYP: Youth for Justice from Cody High School

Youth For Justice from Cody High School is a group of students who choose legislation, usually impacting kids, and go to the legislature in Cheyenne and talk to state representatives from all over the state about a bill that they research and stand behind.  They were founded 25 years ago by Deb White, who is a former physics teacher, who saw a need and decided to empower her students to make a difference.  Currently, they are standing behind HB 137, which prohibits the sale of cannabidiol products to individuals under 21 years of age and HB 138, the Jason Flatt Act Amendment that would provide resources to all youth by requiring that all students in grades 6 thru 12 would receive one hour of age-appropriate suicide prevention training annually.
