‘Ribbon-Cutting’ June 18 for Completion of Sheridan-17th Project

Greybull Hill Road Construction

The two-year Sheridan Avenue-17th Street rehabilitation project will be completed this week, according to Wyoming Department of Transportation District 5 public relations specialist Cody Beers.

Tuesday morning on KODI’s “Speak Your Piece with Darian Dudrick,” Beers said the final step – which includes placement of thermoplastics, or “more of a permanent crosswalk marker” – was expected to be finished as early as Tuesday.

Beers added, WYDOT crews should be in Cody early next week for its annual highway striping, which will include Sheridan and 17th.

In celebration of the collaborative effort between WYDOT and the City of Cody and its business community during the project, there will be a ribbon-cutting at 10 a.m. Friday, June 18, on the lawn in front of the Park County Courthouse. The event is open to the public, and WYDOT Director Luke Reiner will be in attendance to answer questions.
