No Shortage of Creativity During “Leprechaun Lure Contest”

The 2023 Leprechaun Lure Contest is officially in the books!

One thing is for certain, the amount of creativity that was displayed in this year’s contest was nothing but extraordinary!

This year, we finished with a total of 48 traps, which almost doubled the amount from the year previous. From the time the contest started, all the way down to its final minutes, kids dropped off their traps at the Park County Library in hopes of winning a St. Patrick’s Day-themed prize valued at over $100.

Some of our favorites included legos, nets, gold coin trails, and spikes made from toothpicks.

Once the submission window closed, a selected panel of judges carefully observed each trap and voted for their favorite. Unlike last year, this year we awarded 3 separate grand prizes to the winners of each grade bracket. This year’s winners were:

  • Preschool: Asher N

  • Kindergarten – 2nd Grade: Sawyer Q.

  • 3rd – 5th Grade: Korbin F.

A huge thank you to the Park County Library for helping us with this event! We also need to thank KT’s Sinclair and Big Horn Cinemas for being this year’s sponsors!
