From the Beaver State to the Cowboy State, Mikey Bates and Mason Mortenson have quickly fit in here at Cody. The two seniors come to Cody from Oregon, have grown up best friends and in their senior year look to play an integral role in the success of Cody Bronc Football. The two love football (not many people don’t) and they’ve gelled nicely with the this years 2022 grad class. I was able to catch up with the transfers following the Broncs scrimmage vs. Douglas and am pleased to share their story.
Mikey, or as the team calls him “Big Mike” will surely lend his talents on the O and D-Line’s. Listed at six feet, 285 pounds he is a force and talks about his areas of strength, weakness and coming together in the trenches.
The Cody Broncs officially kick-off their 2021 season tonight as they travel down to Riverton. Former intern Wyatt Burichka joins me for all the live play-by-play action. Catch all that action live on KODI. Pre-game at 6:40, kick-off at 7pm. Listen live on KODI or online here: https://radio.securenetsystems.net/cirruscontent/KODI
