Matt Nelson Breaks More Records, Cody Track Heating Up

The Cody Indoor Track teams were back in action as they took part in the Sheridan Bronc Invited in Gillette.

The Broncs would finish in 2nd as a team while the Fillies took 3rd.

Matt Nelson was the story of the day as he won 3 events: the 55, 200 and 400.

He would set new records in both the 2 and 4, breaking his own record from earlier this season.

His 200 time was 23.10 and his 400 time was 51.49.

Other notable perfromers from the Broncs were:

Dillon Brost finished 4th in the 55 and 6th in the 200.

Riley Nielson and David Juergens were 2nd and 4th in the 800.

Ben Stewart was 3rd in the 3200.

Sprint Medley Relay team took 1st.

Remy Broussard was 1st in the Triple Jump and 2nd in the High Jump.

Kaden Clark was 2nd in the Pole Vault.

Over on the girls side:

Ada Nelson finished 1st in the 800. Ava Stafford was 3rd while Julia Nelson was 4th.

Taylen Stinson was 1st in the 3200.

Both the Sprint Medley and 4×800 Relay teams were 1st.

Ava Meier was 3rd in the 55 hurdles with Aspen Kalkowski 4th.

Kelsey Pomajzl was 2nd in the Pole Vault.

According to their schedule the Cody Indoor track teams will be back in action, Thursday February 23rd, competing in the Sheridan invite at Campbell County in Gillette.
