“I Spy Trees” Poster Competition for 132nd Arbor Day

Wyoming is celebrating its 132nd Arbor Day in 2020 – and it needs posters.

The Wyoming State Forestry Division and Wyoming Project Learning Tree have announced their annual Wyoming State Arbor Day poster contest. All Wyoming fourth and fifth graders, in public, private or home schools, are invited to design and submit a 14 by 18-inch poster to honor the occasion. The winner and the winner’s teacher will receive $100 each, their framed poster and a plaque commemorating the achievement. The second-place winner will also receive a framed poster and plaque along with a $50 dollar prize.

The theme of this year’s contest is “I Spy Trees” which can be a bit difficult in Wyoming. The contest is officially open and closes on March 25th. For additional information, you can check out these websites and contact information for the state program coordinator Jessica Halverson
