THE CODY CUBS WERE ON THE ROAD TUESDAY WHERE THEY TOOK ON THE BILLINGS HALOS FOR A DOUBLE HEADER WHERE THEY WOULD GET THE SWEEP

IN GAME 2, JARED GRENZ APPROACHED THE PLATE FOLLOWING 2 RUNS SCORED THAT TIED THE GAME WITH 2 OUTS. GRENZ HIT A GO AHEAD HOME RUN IN THE TOP OF THE 7TH TO GIVE THE CUBS THEIR FIRST LEAD OF THE GAME, IF YOU MISSED IT, HERE’S THE CALL:

GRADY MCCARTEN STARTED OFF GAME 2 PITCHING BUT JUST MADE IT 3 INNINGS ALLOWING 8 RUNS AND 6 HITS.

THEY WOULD GET 14 HITS IN THAT GAME, 10 OF THEM COMING IN THE LAST 3 INNINGS. AFTER TRAILING 8-1, THE CUBS SUCCESSFULLY CRAWLED BACK SECURING THE COMEBACK WIN 12-10.

IN GAME 1, THEIR WASN’T AS MUCH PRESSURE AS THE CUBS CONTROLLED THE COURSE OF THE GAME.

TYLER GRENZ WAS ABLE TO GO ALL 5 INNINGS IN THE GAME ALLOWING 3 RUNS ON 5 HITS AND A PAIR OF WALKS STRIKING OUT THE LAST HITTER TO CLOSE OUT THE GAME.

HAYDEN BRONNENBERG GOT THE BATS GOING AS WELL GOING 2 FOR 3 AS THE CUBS WERE ABLE TO GET 13 BASE HITS AND MADE THE HALOS RUN THROUGH 3 DIFFERENT PITCHERS.

THEY WOULD END UP GETTING THE WIN 10 RULING THE HALOS 14-3 SCORING ALL 14 IN THE FINAL 3 INNINGS OF PLAY.

WITH THE WINS THEY ARE 22-13 ON THE SEASON, THE CUBS HAVE WON 13 OUT OF THEIR LAST 14 AND ARE CURRENTLY ON A 5 GAME WIN STREAK. THE CUBS WILL TRAVEL TO LOVELL WEDNESDAY FOR A DOUBLE HEADER AGAINST THE MUSTANGS AT 5 AND 7PM.
