Get to Know New Quake Coach CJ Sweigart

The Yellowstone Quake, as previously announced, will have a new head coach when the 2021-2022 season begins this season with CJ Sweigart taking over the position.

Sweigart was most recently an assistant coach for the Texas Brahmas in North Richland Hills TX where the team went 34-5-1 and earned a birth to the Fraser Cup. A fairly prestigious achievement for any hockey team.

He served as head coach of the 16U team in TX and they saw extreme success as well finishing 2nd in the league.

He comes to the Cowboy state being familiar with the area having driven all through the state multiple times before and has family that lives in Idaho and in Bozeman previously. Cole Havens caught up with the Quake’s new Head Coach and you can listen to that interview here.

Sweigart will be joined by assistant coach Daniel Zawacki, an North America Hockey League alumni of the Bismarck Bobcats, who amassed 102 points in 110 games played.
