If you are an avid elk hunter in Wyoming, we have great news for you! The Wyoming Game and Fish Department on Wednesday approved nearly 2000 additional elk licenses.
There are an estimated 110,000 elk which is about one for every six people in the state and that’s not counting the thousands of calves that will be born this year. The licenses can be obtained through a lottery, with the deadline being midnight June 1.
Resident licenses cost $62 but some tags for only cows or calves sell for $48. For more information on this go to the Wyoming Game and Fish website.
