THE CODY CUBS FINISHED OFF THE REGULARS SEASON ON SUNDAY AGAINST SHERIDAN IN THEIR FIRST OFFICIAL NINE INNING GAMES WHERE THEY WOULD BE ABLE TO PUT IN A WHOPPING 22 RUNS IN A WIN AGAINST TROOPERS 22-15.
IT WAS JACKSON SCHROEDER WHO GOT THE START ON THE MOUND AND WOULD GO JUST OVER 3 INNINGS ALLOWING 8 HITS, 1 WALK AND 3 RUNS ON THE DAY. IT WAS THE FIRST TIME SCHROEDER WAS UNABLE TO STRIKE OUT A BATTER IN A START FOR HIM.
THEY LED AGAINST THE TROOPERS 15-4 GOING INTO THE BOTTOM OF THE 7TH INNING WHERE THE TROOPERS WOULD CHARGE BACK WITH THE COMEBACK ATTEMPT PUTTING UP 5 RUNS OF THEIR OWN TO MAKE THE SCORE 15-9.
THE CUBS WERE ABLE TO RESPOND WITH A 7 RUN TOP OF THE 8TH ONLY FOR THE TROOPERS TO KEEP THE OFFENSIVE ONSLAUGHT GOING WITH A 6 RUN BOTTOM OF THE 8TH.
THE CODY CUBS WOULD GET 24 HITS TOTAL AND 10 WALKS ON THE DAY AND WOULD HIT 3 HOME-RUNS. TYLER GRENZ ALONG WITH JACKSON SCHROEDER WOULD HIT SOLO HOMERS IN THE 7TH AND IT WOULD BE TRISTAN BLATT GOING YARD IN THE 8TH.
