Cody Nordic Skiing State Results

The Sleeping Giant Ski Area

The Cody Nordic Skiing team had their state tournament this weekend in Casper this weekend and had a great showing.

Friday was the 5K classic competition where Elisa Wachob was the highest placing Cody girl in that event placing 20th and with a time of just under 22 minutes.

Liberty Laing finished 58th in the race with a time of just over 26 minutes. Haley Pearson-Horner was the last Cody girl in the event placing 64th.

For the boys in that event it was Marshall Brookins placing 11th for the Broncs with a time of just over 18 minutes. Following him was Landon Rau at 43rd, Hayden Campbell at 71st with Luis Mata coming in at a time of over 24 minutes.

On Saturday it was the 10K competition where Brookins kept up the pace placing 14th with a time 34 minutes and 39 seconds.

Following him was Rau at 38th, Campbell at 46th, and Mata at 69th.

The girls in the 10K held strong as well with Wachob placing 23rd with a time of a hair ahead of 42 minutes. The other Cody girls in that event were Laing at 66th and Pearson-Horner at 68th.
