Cody Bronc Wrestling 2nd at State, Beaudrie Wins State Title

The Cody Bronc Wrestling team concluded play at the 2023 WHSAA State Wrestling Championship Tournament over the weekend at the Ford Wyoming Center in Casper.

The Broncs would come in 2nd place as a team, in Class 3A, compiling 167 points. Green River won the 3A title. Evanston was 3rd. Powell finished in 8th.

This is the Broncs best finish at State since 2028 when they took 2nd as well.

The Broncs would have one State Champion over the weekend. Grayson Beadrie would win the title at 182 pounds claming back-to-back State Championships. Beaudrie won by decision. And the most impressive feat, Beaudrie won it all while grappling on a torn ACL.

The Broncs would have several runner-ups over the tournament. Ty Peterson at 113, Dylan Campbell at 170 and Jace Grant at 220 would all capture 2nd place finishes.

In all the Broncs had 8 wrestlers place 5th or better.

William Wood took 4th at 106.

Micah Grant was 4th at 145.

Jackson Wood was 4th at 152.

Zach Barton was 5th at 285.
