The Cody Bronc Swim team was back in action, on Saturday, as they took part in the Bruce Gresly Invite in Lander.
The Broncs would finish in 4th place as a team.
Joseph Killpack continues to impress. He finished 3rd in the 100 Fly, a season best. He also set a new personal best in the 100 back and re-broke his school record with a time of 54.73.
Bradley McKenzie finished 4th in the 50 Free with a time of 23, new personal best. Myles Bailey had a personal best, as well, in the 50 Free with a time of 24.50.
3 swimmers finished top 12 in the 100 breaststroke with Bradley McKenzie 3rd, William Law 8th and Jonah Woods 9th.
The 400 Free Relay team had a season best time with a 4th place finish.

15 teams — 12 3A teams + 3 4A teams (Rock Springs, Cheyenne South and Jackson Hole) — basically what we will see at state plus Newcastle and Douglas
200 Medley Relay — came within 2 tenths of their time at state last year and are now just .5 seconds away from the CHS team record of 1:46.19, 3rd place finish
behind powerhouses Lander and Buffalo
200 Free – solid swims by Isaac Woods (15th place) and Emi Vizcaino (26th)
200 IM — solid swims by Townsend Bailey (13th), Jonah Woods )15th) and Isaac Wood (18th)
50 free – Bradley McKenzie finished 4th with a personal best of 23.00, Myles Bailey personal best of 24.50 (13th)
Diving — first time that these two divers have completed 11 dives in competition; Bryson Laing finished 9th and Ki Hopkin finished 23rd
100 Fly – Joseph Killpack with season best finished 3rd, Townsend Bailey (21st)
100 Free – solid swims by Isaac Woods (19th) and William Law (22nd)
500 free — Isaac Wood (15th) and Emi Vizcaino (19th)
200 Free Relay — 11th place finish

100 breast — great Cody showing with all 3 of our swimmers in the top 12 — Bradley finished 3rd, William Law finished 8th and Jonah Woods finished 9th
400 free relay – season best time for this relay with a 4th place finish
It’s not uncommon to see swimmers adding time at this point of the season. This coming week is really the pinnacle of our training and it’s normal for them to be feeling pretty tired. That said, I am so pleased with how well they swam and dove this past weekend!! After finishing 8th out of 10 teams last year, finishing 4th out of 15 this year is really incredible.
Cody Swim is back in action Tuesday January 24th at Powell. They take part in the Buffalo Invite on Friday the 27th.
